Congratulations to FFA Career Development Event teams competing at District FFA Contest Monday and Tuesday. We qualified 3 out of for 4 teams for state competition in April. The fourth team was alternate team to state.
The Dairy Foods team of Chloe Bruce, Katie Clark, Caleb Henderson and Annah McGaha were District Champions placing first out of 27 teams. Chloe, Katie, Caleb and Annah were 1st, 3rd, 5th and 5th individuals respectively.
The Entomology team of Kaden Lewis, Bailey Clark, Audrey Steele and Jasmine Farrow finished in 7th place earning a Group I rating and qualifying for state. They finished in 9th, 12th, 50th and 88th place individually. Kaden earned a Group I rating by finishing in the top ten individuals.
The Nursery and Landscaping team of Keelie Henderson, Megan Hoxsie, Aiyanna Hamilton and Riley Tillery earned a 5th place finish qualifying for state. Individually, they earned 4th, 19th, 24th and 56th place respectively. Keelie earned a Group I rating with the top ten individual placing.
The Soils team of Kegan Anderson, Chloe Foster, Jackson Stewart and Aiden Schwartz was the alternate team to qualify with a 13th place finish out of 27 teams in a competitive contest. All finished as Group II individuals.
State FFA Convention and contests are April 20 and 21st at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Congratulations to FFA teams competing at Crowder College Aggie Days Contest today. Dairy Foods placed 1st, Nursery and Landscaping placing 4th and Entomology placing 4th. We had 8 individuals in the top ten and 5 in the top three. Awesome job! Keep grinding away ... District Contest Monday/Tuesday.

A special thank you to OCHC Miles for Smiles Mobile Dental Unit for the work they completed here at the school over the last week. They managed to see 40 students for a total of 58 dental visits! We are so grateful for this service to our children. If you have any questions or your student still needs further treatment please call their clinic at 417-328-6334.
FFA members competing tomorrow at Hollister will leave at 6:15am. Make sure your clocks have been moved ahead for Daylight Savings. Outside contestants need to dress warmly. Dairy Foods need to bring study folders.
The Miles for Smiles Mobile Dental Unit will be here on March 14th-17th. The first two days they will do cleanings and the last two days will be dental work. The link for parents to enroll their children is listed below.
The Miles for Smiles mobile unit is available to children ages 1-18. They accept Medicaid, self-pay, sliding fee, and all insurances.
Miles for Smiles is operated by a professional staff that will provide onsite dental services to eligible children in a ten county area of southwest Missouri.
Students who qualify will be given an initial exam and dental treatment will be provided as determined by the examining dentist. Details of the exam and care given will be available for parents to keep for their records.
