Fair Play Seniors 2022: Just a reminder if you received a Riedesel Scholarship, your thank you letter and acceptance form is due to the superintendent's office by June 16, 2022. These two items must be turned in by that date to receive your Riedesel Scholarship money. If you have questions, call the superintendent's office or text Mrs. Garrison.

Due to weather changing plans for the activities today, FFA members will NOT need to work at the Polk County Museum this morning. Sorry for the late notification.

Our 2022 Spring Concert is April 28th, 6:30 pm, in the middle building in the multipurpose gym. We will hear performances from the 5th and 6th grade bands, HS Choir and the HS band (this includes grades 7th and 8th).

Congratulations to the FFA Dairy Foods Team of Bailey Clark, Chloe Foster, Kegan Anderson and Kaden Lewis for earning 3rd Place in the FFA State Career Development Events. Kaden was first high individual in the 180 member competition.

Area X FFA Contest at Buffalo tomorrow is a GO. Repeat - the FFA Contest tomorrow will go on as planned. The bus leaves at 7:00 am tomorrow (Saturday). Soils will mostly be conducted in the Field House with contestants going outside to shoot slope only. The rest will be done with soil profiles laid out on tables and information given on paper.

FFA Week continues today with Adopt a Highway. By the numbers - 17 members, 3 miles of highway cleaned, 2 hours and 92 bags of trash collected! Awesome bunch of workers today!

FFA Week started off yesterday with members attending FP First Baptist and enjoying fellowship and lunch prepared by Steve and Kathy Scott. Huge thanks to the Scott's for feeding us!!

Just a reminder that the FFA Parent Night and Chili Supper that was postponed last week will be held Thursday evening beginning at 6:30 pm. We will be conferring Greenhand and Chapter FFA Degrees as well as crowning a new chapter Sweetheart.

Due to the incoming weather, there will be no school tomorrow in the Fair Play School District. Please complete the work for AMI Day #6.

With the forecasted winter weather for mid-week, we will be postponing the FFA Chili Supper and Parent Night to Thursday, February 10th. The supper will begin at the previously scheduled time of 6:30 pm on the 10th. Sorry for the change, but we wanted to make the decision early enough to avoid issues with preparation of food. We look forward to seeing you on the 10th.

Baseball workouts will begin this Wednesday! Any student not currently participating in school activities should attend. Workouts will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 3:45pm-5:00pm. Depending on weather, workouts will be on the field or in the multipurpose gym. Please make sure to have sweats/baseball pants, long sleeve shirt/hoodie, baseball hat/beanie, glove, and bring both shoes and cleats to be prepared for workouts being inside/outside. We are looking forward to seeing everyone!

FFA Officers and members, don't forget tomorrow is group picture day. Bring official FFA dress or top half OD for the picture. You should know which applies to you. Do your part to make the picture look good.

We are continuing to monitor our numbers of COVID cases. It is hitting our staff HARD. We will notify you if it becomes necessary to use our AMI days for Wellness Days.

REMINDER: There will be a baseball meeting for players and parents on Thursday, January 20th at 5:00pm in the high school cafeteria. It is strongly encouraged that all players and parents attend to meet our new coaching staff while they discuss the upcoming season. We hope to see you all there!

SCHEDULE CHANGE: We have added a varsity girls basketball game to our schedule. The girls team will be playing at Galena on Saturday, February 12th. The game will start at noon.

REMINDER - On Friday, January 21, we will be honoring the following graduating classes: class of 2017 (5 years), class of 2012 (10 years) and class of 1997 (25 years). We will recognize these individuals during halftime of our varsity boys basketball game on homecoming night.

There will be a Homecoming Dance immediately following the coronation. The dance will last an hour and a half and will cost $3 to enter.
