This afternoon we had a substitute on Mr.Steve’s bus route on 32 highway. There was a need to stop quickly because of a safety issue with an elementary child. There was a dump truck behind the bus who also had to stop quickly. The dump truck stopped to the side of the bus. There was NO contact between the vehicles. The child is fine. It was a scary situation that your child could come home and tell you. I wanted you, the parents to know what happened.

Today we have added 1 positive for COVID and identified 12 students for exposure in the Junior High. IF YOU DO NOT GET A PHONE CALL YOUR CHILD WAS NOT INCLUDING IN THE EXPOSURE which means they were not less than 6 feet for over 15 mins. On Friday we had a count of two students who tested positive in 9th and 11th grades and 15 in quarantine . We do NOT see a wide spread but the contact tracing is a challenge. I would recommend all parents should monitor for symptoms of COVID each day. I know it is hare to tell the difference between allergies and COVID at this time of year.
The following games are canceled for this week. Softball for Monday, Tuesday and Hermitage Tournament Friday and Saturday. Junior High Girls and Boys Basketball Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday have been canceled. Rescheduling information will be posted when available.
The softball game versus Montrose scheduled for this evening (Friday) has been canceled. Re-scheduling information will be published as it is determined.
