If your child(ren) have library books, please plan to return them with meals/packet drop off. We will have meals on MWF this week. Learning packets need to be turned in this Friday. You may do so at the Grab and Go drive through or with the afternoon bus route.
We will have meals ready to pickup today from 1-3 pm. The bus drivers will be running their regular afternoon bus routes, just like we have been doing. Remember, all packets are due this Friday. You may drop off at the cafeteria or give them to the bus driver. Please make sure your child's name is on the outside envelope.
Please listen/read to the message as there are multiple items. The first learning packet will be collected on Friday April 3rd, 1-3 pm in the drive through. It would be best to drop it off when you pick up meals. If you are unable to deliver it the 3rd. we will run bus routes that day and you can give it to the bus driver. New packets can be picked up 1-3 pm on April 6th. Fair Play will remain closed until April 24th. Stay safe.
Seniors - All local scholarship applications are due on April 1, no later than 4 pm. You should bring them to school that day to submit them. Mrs. Garrison will be in her office from 8 to 4 that day. TODAY, Wed and Friday we will do meal distribution as a drive-through. We will do this 1-3:00 pm at the cafeteria door in the bus lane. We will close the doors at 3:00 pm to load the remaining meals on the buses and use the REGULAR afternoon bus rt schedule. Please be watching for the bus so someone can meet it. This will help us tremendously to stay on time. The next learning packet will be delivered in April. Together we will get through this.
In order to comply with Governor Parsons directive we will close Fair Play Schools until April 6th. Next week on MWF we will have “drive through” grab and go meals. We will use the bus lane. Any remaining meals will be delivered during the regular afternoon bus route times. Please be watching so you can meet the bus. You did a great job on Thursday. The teachers will be working to prepare learning packets for distribution the first week in April. Stay safe, healthy and be sure to wash your hands. We will get through this together.
Due to information that we received from DESE yesterday afternoon that the State MAP Tests were on hold this year, the practice MAP test packets for 8th grade Science will not need to be completed for grading. It will be optional practice only. For further information, contact Mr. Durst during his office hours.
The ACT Test scheduled for March 24 has been postponed. Tentatively, the make-up date has been set for Tuesday, April 7th depending on how progress is made the next two weeks. Look for further communication regarding the make-up ACT closer to April 7.
Preparing packets and lunches.
PLAN FOR MEALS, LEARNING PACKETS AND LAPTOPS
I will send a phone call out to parents and guardians tonight at 6:15 pm. Tomorrow from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm in the cafeteria, grab and go breakfasts and lunches for two days, will be available along with your child’s learning packet. We are wanting to do these by family. Computers and chargers will be available ONLY for students who are taking Edgenuity classes or dual credit classes. Students needing sketch books from their locker may also come. At 3:00 we will close the doors and load all remaining meals and learning packets on the correct bus route. The bus drivers will run their regular AFTERNOON bus route making a stop at each stop to deliver meals and learning packets. PLEASE BE WATCHING so someone can meet the bus. We will be delivering two days of meals. Any packets or meals not delivered will be brought back to the school. Thursday, tomorrow, only, we will have pick- ups available in the cafeteria from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Starting Monday, you may pick-up two days of meals in the cafeteria from 1-3 pm and with any left we will run the afternoon bus route for those not picked up. We will do this on Monday, Wednesday and Friday next week. Anyone not getting their laptop, charger and sketchbook will need to call the school on Monday to schedule a time for pickup. Thank you for being understanding as we find the best way to make this happen for our students.
Miles for Smiles mobile unit will be here in April. Nurse Holly will be sending home yellow consent forms for grades PK-6. Jr High/High School students may pick up forms at the office. We will have an early dismissal Thursday, March 5th at 12:30. We are doing this because of the number of students and staff wanting to attend services for Casey Dennis. The funeral will be at Butler’s in Bolivar. Visitation on Thursday at 1:30 and funeral to follows at 2:30. Burial at New Bethel in Halfway.
