Today, your student was given information about an upcoming suicide prevention training for students in grades 7-12. They were asked to take the information home to their parents. The information will give you, the parent/guardian, more details about this training and instructions for what you should do if you do not want your child to participate in this training.

The Fair Play School District is asking parents and guardians for help in educating our students regarding the health risks and dangers of vaping.
In recent news, vaping has been referred to as the “fastest growing epidemic facing US youth”. Research shows that chemicals in common nicotine vaping solutions have been shown to cause cancer, slows brain development and is as addictive as cocaine.
Fair Play is not immune to the reach of this epidemic. We have received information that vaping is occurring during school hours and in school buildings. Educational information has been presented to students and warnings have been given. Students caught using or possessing these materials will be subject to consequences found in recently amended school policy. The information regarding the updated policy and consequences was sent home today for signing and return of the form to the High School Office for grades 7 through 12. The due date for return of the signed form is Friday, January 11. The form can also be accessed for printing on the school website.
Look for details coming in the near future about an educational meeting for parents and guardians to give knowledge about the harmful effects of this current problem.
Thank you for helping protect the safety of our students and your children.
There will be no JV Girls basketball game tonight. JV Boys basketball will still play.
Results from the spring 2018 grade level tests (grades 3-8) are now available and may be picked up in the elementary and/or high school offices. If you have any questions, please call the elementary or high school office or the school counseling office.
Thank you.
